Never do I leave an airport if I have an impossibly long layover. Just scares the you-know-what out of me, but this time 5 hours just seemed a bit much to stare into space waiting. I called my friend, Deborah C. who was my longtime sales rep in Minneapolis & she picked me up to go to dinner at Juicy Lucy’s. It was so great seeing Deborah sharing memories from when COD (my coat company) was flying high, heady times, those were! I made it back to the airport in time to climb on the plane for an 8 hour flight to London. My travelling companions, Judi & Deborah were coming from Los Angeles &we planned to meet at Terminal 4 with our hired driver. I walked out of customs & there they were, waving. Traveling with no glitches is almost unheard of & I am even uneasy talking about it!
